Sydney's Blue Mountains region is awash with `lost' railway relics! From hidden tunnels, cuttings & bridges to steep grades and impossible inclines, this spectacular sandstone area offers the rail enthusiast, bushwalker or photographer a wealth of appealing material. Even today, stone `pagodas' still echo to the sound of steam as restored locomotives of Lithgow's Zig Zag Railway operate along the western Mountain's scenic escarpment.
